Focused on community.
The Temple Baptist Church has been located in the Lloyd community since 1927 and was originally built by Swedish immigrants. Current lead Pastor and LCA Board member, Jeremy Taylor along with his team are continuing the Church’s goal of being an indispensable part of the community.
This goal is being realized by the daycare services they have been offering since the 80’s, providing a rest stop for 1st responder professionals and helping organize community events like National Night Out. They have several plans to engage with the Lloyd community which include:
Lunch in the Lloyd, where the congregation will go out to lunch together once a quarter to help support community restaurants. If you are a restaurant professional reading this and would like to invite the group, you can contact jeremy (@) temple-baptist.com.
During Thanksgiving Sunday the Church will host the Dickens Carolers, which will be a free event for attendees.
A worship gathering is also offered every Sunday at 10am with food and beverage provided. This gathering is a safe and welcoming environment for anyone who would like to attend.
Jeremy is excited about the growth happening in the Lloyd and encourages all community members to get involved in guiding the development of our area.
