District 2 Local Transportation Funding Open House

Community members are invited to attend a district open house focused on local transportation funding and the future of Portland’s streets and infrastructure. This event offers an opportunity to learn more about current funding challenges and share feedback on potential solutions being discussed by Portland City Council.

Portland is experiencing ongoing transportation funding shortfalls after eight years of PBOT budget cuts, rising construction costs, aging bridges, and unmet safety needs. Without timely repairs and investment, these challenges will continue to grow more costly and difficult to address.

At the open house, attendees can learn about options for raising additional transportation funding, how new funds could be spent, and ways the city could review and monitor investments. This is a chance to ask questions, weigh in on priorities, and help shape decisions that affect transportation safety and mobility across the city.
