Join the Beach Brigade Volunteer Cleanup on June 13, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Duckworth Beach and help prepare the area for summer recreation. Volunteers will assist with removing rip rap, collecting trash, and building trails along the riverfront.
Hosted by the HAP Beach Brigade, this effort is part of a broader mission to transform underused riverbanks into welcoming community spaces, with past projects including Cathedral Park, Tom McCall Bowl, and Poet’s Beach.
Participants will meet in front of Peace Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m. sharp, then walk together to the cleanup site. While advance registration is not required, it is encouraged through the SOLVE website.
Volunteers should wear closed toed shoes and dress for the weather, and are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and a backpack for convenience. Cleanup supplies such as bags, gloves, buckets, and trash grabbers will be provided.
Free parking is available nearby, and the site is accessible by multiple bus lines and the MAX Yellow Line. Please note that there are no public restrooms available and the cleanup area may not be accessible for those with mobility concerns.
