Truckload of Coats: Volunteers Needed!

Truckload of Coats is Transition Projects’ largest annual donation drive, presented by Safeway. The event helps collect warm winter gear—including coats, cold-weather clothing, and footwear—for participants in need across shelters, the Resource Center, and street outreach efforts.

Community members are encouraged to volunteer or drop off donations at one of the participating Safeway locations. Donors will receive a Safeway gift card, a shopping pass for four (4) to Columbia Sportswear’s Employee Store, and a coupon for Poler Seltzer. Additional support for this event comes from 101.9 KINK, KOIN 6, and Unitus Credit Union.

Volunteers are essential to making this event a success! Help greet donors, accept and sort incoming items, and load them into Safeway trucks. Coffee, treats, and great music from KINK FM will keep spirits high throughout the day—it’s always a fun and meaningful event for a great cause.

Volunteer Shifts (Friday, November 14):
