Activate Portland Community Summit
Community members are invited to a day of connection, collaboration, and inspiration with more than 20 local organizations dedicated to creating a more beautiful, resilient, and connected Portland. Held at the Leaven Community Center, this full-day gathering offers opportunities to network, attend workshops, and participate in meaningful discussions centered on regenerative agriculture, placemaking, social justice, mutual aid, community building, climate resilience, and land stewardship.
Throughout the day, attendees will have the chance to meet and collaborate with activists, community organizers, and creative changemakers from across the region. The event will feature opening talks by Kelvin Yunusa of DeRose Community Bridge and Mark Lakeman of City Repair Project, followed by time to explore volunteer opportunities, enjoy a provided lunch, and take part in open-space workshops and skill-sharing sessions.
Whether you’re deeply involved in community work or just beginning to explore ways to make a difference, this event offers an inspiring space to learn, connect, and take action together.
